Mr. Speed Himself, Christian Mortician from Georgia is going to teach a class called “How to Shoot Fast Without Shooting Fast” that will take place on the sidebar day morning Friday Aug. 30th from 9:00 until 12:00. There is a $30 fee and is limited to the first six shooters. Only six in the class for personal hands on instructions based on your individual shooting style. This is a class on how to utilize transitions for your best performance. This is a must have class for anyone that wants to improve their game. RO 1 Class – Friday August 30th!

Redrider Slim will be offering the Range Operations Safety Course Level One (RO1) to all SASS members at the 2024 SASS VA State Cowboy Action Championship match.  This is a great opportunity to gain the knowledge, skill, and attitude essential to ensure safety and consistency at all SASS Cowboy Action Shooting matches.  See below for details. 

When: Friday of the Virginia State SASS Match. (8/30).
Location: Cavalier Range clubhouse.
Start: 10:00 AM – 3:00PM
Cost: $10.00 for a refresher,  $25.00 for first time. Cash only please.

Announcement! – 2022 SASS VIRGINIA COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas,
As most of you know I have been laid up for a while with a back issue, but healing is on the horizon. Though I have not been shooting I have still been working on something and that all panned out today. As of today, The Gunfight at the Double-C, the Cavalier Cowboys two-day Club Championship Match held every April will no longer happen. Now, here in Central VA the Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club in Montpelier VA and the Cavalier Cowboys have officially been awarded as the location to host the 2022 SASS Virginia State Championship Match to be held on Labor Day weekend. The new VA State Match will be held on the same dates (September 2-4, 2022) as it always has been in Roanoke in recognition of the fourteen years of hard work they put into the memories I know we all cherish.
Updates to the Cavalier website will be forthcoming after the first of the year with all information and registration forms. I am looking forward to shooting again with all you pards and especially looking forward to shooting with everyone this year at the new SASS Virginia State Championship Match, Gunfight at the Double-C held right here in Central VA.
