Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls

The laid back bad guys at Cavalier will finish off the year 2023 with their Sunday, Dec. 3 match. ( no match on the second Wednesday Dec., Jan., Feb.) After the food festivities of Thanksgiving and this upcoming Christmas, we will end the year with a salute to the Pig. Gates open at 8:30, safety briefing at 9:45 with first shot down range at 10:00. Cleanup on aisle three,what a mess. Or should I say miss. Nobody shot clean today. Thanks to the Old Goat for shagging brass all day. This was the last Wednesday match until March when they resume again. Fun, of course, was had by all.  Results linked below.

Hello all you lead slinging enthusiasts

The Cavalier crew finished one today and will be shooting again this Wednesday Nov. 8th. Gates open at 9:30 with first shot down range at 11:00. This will be our last second Wednesday of the month match for 2023. We do not shoot the second Wednesday’s in Dec., Jan and Feb. but will resume them in March 2024. Weather looks great for this Wednesday. Antics supplied by Mr. Ripsaw.

With the mass exodus to North Carolina, the Cavalier gang managed to pull off a perfect weather day. Twelve lucky souls got to take advantage of this perfect weather day to shoot some Cowboy Action. Sadly to say that no one managed to pull off a clean match. I would like to shout out a big welcome to the two new shooters to us, Ms. Iron Yoper and Mr. Steady Dutchman who made their first appearance at Cavalier today.and the return of Tombstone Rex. What’s left of the Cavalier crew will be hosting our first Sunday of the month match this Sunday Nov. 5th. Mr. Bingo and I will be at the NC State match so the setup for the match will not be on Saturday but will be set up on Sunday morning before the match begins. Gates open at 8:30 with first shot down range at 10:00. Please come a little early to help out with the set up. I hope you enjoy the match cooked up by Mr. Bucksaw and are attached.

Hello Cowpokes

Sorry for the late scores sent out but was having computer issues. Well seven of us braved the elements to shoot a match today. Unfortunately, two of us were laid up enough to not be able to shoot. My back has headed south again so all I can do is watch and Mr. Ripsaw gave it a go for one stage but has an injured hand so he stopped. The lucky five that remained shooting just could not muster up a clean all day match. Overall, it was a really nice day. Results attached.

1st Sunday Match – August 6th 2023

Hello Everyone in Cowboyville

It was actually quite a nice day for shooting. In the shade and a fan, a cool drink and we were good to go. We managed to have a 25% clean shooter’s rate today. Myself and Range Hazzard were both CAD. That being said, we had eight shooters show up today to enjoy the festivities. We all loaded then shot and were finished by 12:30 before it got hot. We rolled like a well oiled machine.
The Virginia State Championship Match is just 4 weeks away and we are almost at capacity. Please get your applications in quickly. Also, Red Rider Slim is going to teach an RO1 class on Friday Sept. 1st, the sidebar day of the State match here at the Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club. Please contact him at redngary@cox.net to register to take this very important class.
