What a great weekend to shoot a match. Five minutes of drizzle was the only drawback from an almost perfect weekend. I do hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks to you, the Gunfight was totally worth all the hard work it took to have this event. You could not possibly have a more dedicated, harder working and fun loving group of cowpokes than the group that were here this weekend. All of you deserve a standing ovation.

The Cavalier Cowboys held their 3rd annual “Gunfight at the Double-C” this past weekend and we had one heck of a good time shooting with our cowboy family!!!

On behalf of our Match Director, Major BS Walker, myself and all of the Cavalier Cowboys we want to thank all the cowboys and cowgirls who supported us this weekend, seeing all of you shooting, having fun, and enjoying the cowboy fellowship makes all the hard work worth while.

This weekend the Cavalier Cowboys will be hosting our 2nd annual, two day, championship cowboy match, the Gunfight at the Double-C !!!!!!!!

For those of you who have registered to shoot the match, below you will find some useful information, and for those that are not registered it is still not too late to get in on all of the fun. Major BS Walker has created a match that looks to be very fun and interesting to shoot. Contact BS directly at royalhunter@comcast.net to signup and shoot.

IMPORTANT – Please do not exceed the 10 mph speed limit on Boondock Lane – IMPORTANT

Some jerk has recently stolen the Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club Sign that was located on Boondock Lane, so don’t let that throw you off when your looking for the turn.

Round Count: The round count for the match is 120 pistol, 119 rifle, and 41 shotgun rounds. There are 2 rifle and 2 pistol knockdown targets.

Gun Racks: Because we are using 6 shooting bays and will be moving to another bay for each stage, we will not have the gun racks available, gun carts are strongly suggested for all shooters.

Gun Cart Storage: There will be a storage room available to store your gun carts overnight Saturday, the storage room will be locked at night but please no guns or other valuables.

Starting Locations: Posse 1 will start on Bay #1 on Saturday and Bay #3 on Sunday. Posse 2 will start on Bay #3 on Saturday and Bay #1 on Sunday.

Posse Tools: The posses will take with them to each stage all of the posse tools (spotting sticks, pickup tools, reset tools, timer, score sheets, ipads, etc. etc.)

Camping: For those who registered for camping, the gates will be open from 12 Noon on Friday thru evening, if you need to make other arrangements, please let us know.

Shooter Packets: We will be setting up the range on Thursday and Friday, everyone is welcome to stop by and pickup their shooter packets then or they will be available on Saturday morning at Range 3 aka Bay #1 under the shelter at Registration / Check-In.
