New & Improved:

Our goal and expectation is to improve the Gunfight at the Double-C every single year!!

New for 2021, the Gunfight at the Double-C will be moving to the weekend of the fourth Saturday in April. This change will be for the year 2021 and all future matches. The reason for this change is that the 2nd weekend in April conflicted with Easter every 3 to 5 years.

We are also making a few changes with the shooting bays that we will be using for the match. As we have done in the past, there will be six separate bays setup to host 6 stages on Saturday and 6 stages on Sunday. The change is that some of the bays will be located adjacent to each other, located on a larger physical shooting range. However, adjacent bays will only be used by one posse at a time, there will be no common firing line shooting by multiple posses.

There is an update layout diagram located a little further down on this page. The added advantage of the changes with the bay layout, is that it will reduce the amount of walking between stages by a fare amount.

All shooters are required to submit an registration application, one per shooter.

Stage Sponsors:

We are borrowing an idea from Missouri Marshal and the Pungo Posse and implementing “Stage Sponsors” for this years Gunfight at the Double-C. The reason behind this is that the Cavalier Cowboys are “self funded”, the money we collect for our matches is the only money we have to spend on targets, props and range improvements, we do not receive any money from our host gun club.

We are asking for “Stage Sponsors” for each of the 12 main match stages at our up coming Gunfight at the Double-C. The sponsorships are $25.00 per stage. There will be a limit of 2 sponsors for each stage, so a total of 24 sponsorships. All sponsorships will have their name/company displayed at their sponsored stage during the match and will be recognized within the shooters handbook.

The sponsorships can be included with the match registration application or submitted directly to Major BS Walker the Match Director.
