Wednesday Matches

Cowboys & Cowgirls,

We held our 2nd Wednesday match today at the Cavalier Cowboys range. There was a light rain all morning up to match time and then right at 12:00 Noon it stopped raining. The damp weather and zero wind all day, made for some good and smokey stages for those of us shooting smoke.

Congratulations to Cockroach as the Overall Top Shooter and Congratulations to Cockroach, BS Walker and myself for shooting Clean All Day.

We are only 17 days away from the first day of Spring and that means it is time for the Cavalier Cowboys to start holding their monthly 2nd Wednesday cowboy matches again.

We will be shooting on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 starting at High Noon at the Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club. If you have not shot a Wednesday match with us before, we shoot 6 stages just like our Sunday matches but with a more relaxed and easy paced approach. They are a great time to try new techniques, try out new toys, receive coaching, and work on the parts of our game that you want to improve on.

Cowboys and Cowgirls,

The Cavalier Cowboys will be holding their 2nd Wednesday match on December 9th, 2015.

For the months of January and February, we will not have a scheduled 2nd Wednesday match as per our usual. However, if the weather forecast looks good for a 2nd Wednesday in Jan or Feb, we may send out a match announcement and hold a cowboy match to take advantage of the good weather. We will send out a match announcement the Monday before the 2nd Wednesday, if we are having a match. Otherwise we will resume our regular 2nd Wednesday matches in March.

The 1st Sunday matches are not affected by this and will be held throughout the winter, given favorable weather conditions.
