Howdy Pards!
It was a bit warmer than the weather prognosticators forecasted, or maybe it was just all that hot lead clanging and banging steel that caused the heat. Despite the warm temperatures we had 17 dedicated shooters take on the stages provided by Ripsaw. Thank you to all the hard working cowboys and cowgirls that helped out yesterday and today setting up and tearing down. The Cowboy community is the best, big ten gallon hat tip to you all.
The Cavalier Cowboys would like to welcome our newest cowboy to the posse who goes by the alias Stillwater, he shot his first match with us today and did very will under the mentorship of Enid City Kid. Fun fact of the match, we had two Father/Son pairs on the posse. It was good to see Charlie Proudfoot back with us today. Big CC welcome to Mitch “No Alias Yet” who watched his first match and helped reset shotgun KD’s all day.
Now for the results. Cody Maverick took the top spot, nicely done sir. Tree Doc Red and Tye Riverman slugged it out all day for the 2nd and 3rd spots respectfully, separated by less than a second (0.99) in the end. Iron Yooper took home the coveted Top Cowgirl award today, well done cowgirl. Only two clean shooters today, Tree Doc Red and Kuba Kid, they both earned it with an excellent display of marksmanship. Five of us finished with the Dagnabbit one miss honor.
Again, thank you all for making Cowboy Action Shooting the great sport it is.
