Range Operations Basic Safety & Cowboy Action Shooting Courses

ROBS & CAS Courses – TBD

Redrider Slim is offering both the new SASS Range Operations Basic Safety course (ROBS) and Cowboy Action Shooting Range Operations Course (CAS) on Friday August 29 from 9am – 3pm. Both courses will be held at the CR&PC clubhouse across the road from the campgrounds.  Attendees should plan on bringing a lunch.  Both courses are classroom instruction only.

The goal of ROBS is to develop members who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to ensure safety and consistency at all SASS Shooting Sports matches and events.  The CAS course highlights and presents key elements of Cowboy Action Shooting range operations.

ROBS is prerequisite for the CAS and Wild Bunch Range Operations courses. You will need to take both ROBS and CAS as both replace ROI/ROII courses and refresher courses are no longer offered.  If you haven’t taken a range operations course in several years this is a great opportunity to certify on the new course material.  Note, there are two exams.  The ROBS exam is 30 questions and the CAS exam is 10.

If you recently took the new ROBS course you may enroll in just the CAS course.

Cost is $25 for ROBS and $5 for CAS.  ($30 total)

Payment accepted at time of class. Exact cash amount please.

Please register for the courses by sending SASS alias and SASS # to Redngary@cox.net no later than 8/14.  You may text registration to: 540-855-4459.  Questions answered via emai/text.
