Cowboys & Cowgirls,

The Cavalier Cowboys match for Sunday, February 1st, 2015 is a GO.

The current forecast for match time is 36 degrees, overcast, with very little wind and there is NO rain in the forecast until 7:00 pm. The temperature forecast says it will rise to 45 degrees by the end of the match, so still on the cold side of things but doable.

The dress code for Sunday will be Missouri Marshal’s “Cowboy Cold”, which is dress however you like in order to keep warm.

We will have the burn barrel going and a hand warmer at the loading table.

We will NOT have our normal after match social activities, too cold for that, plus everyone will want to get home to see the Super Bowl.

Safe Travels,

Cowboys & Cowgirls,

The Cavalier Cowboys will be holding their 1st Sunday cowboy match, this Sunday, February 1st, 2015. The gates will be open from 8:30 till 9:45, registration will run from 8:30 till 9:30, the mandatory safety meeting will be held at 9:45 and the match itself will begin at 10:00am. The costs is $15.00 for non members, $25.00 for couples, $10.00 for members of CR&PC and as always cowboys 18 and under shoot for free.

The stages have been written by me and are attached in both MS Word and PDF formats. The original stages I had ready for Sunday were a two bay configuration but I have decided to reuse a previous match with a one bay configuration because of the weather forecast.

The weather: The current weather forecast for Sunday calls for 33 degrees at match time and a chance of snow late in the afternoon, so not an ideal forecast but these long range forecast are less than 50% accurate so who knows. We will send out an update on Friday afternoon with our final decision on the match.

This Sunday is also Super Bowl Sunday but the Super Bowl does not start until 6:30pm and we will be done shooting around 2:00pm so you will have plenty of time to shoot the match and get home for the Super Bowl and all the commercials.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the weather is good and we get our match in on Sunday.

Safe Travels,
